Baby vc is a community offering a 10-week bootcamp with cherry-picked aspiring VCs as speakers and all-time access to a community of 300 tech and VC enthusiasts. 🚀

Our mission is to make Venture Capital transparent and accessible for students and young professionals, passionate about VC, entrepreneurship and tech ecosystems.

We take the most motivated people to learn and bring to the community! We are looking for all people that want to contribute to this community, whether they have had previous experience in VC or not!

Every semester we select about 20 fellows to join each of our 3 bootcamp. When the application form is open, you have two weeks to apply. You will have to answer a few basic questions and record a few minutes of video explaining the reasons for your application and your motivations.

Any student/ young professional from Europe. At first, we only had a bootcamp for French speakers focusing about the French Tech ecosystem. Since September 2022, baby vc has implemented an internationalization strategy and 2 new countries have been launched: Germany and UK.

Baby vc was created back in 2019 by Eleonore Serge, Mehdi Benjelloun, and Nicolas Dessus with the objective to make the VC industry more transparent for juniors thanks to a unique fellowship.

The initial observation was the following: business schools and universities more broadly were neither providing students with the relevant training concerning what VC’s purpose and everyday work looks like, nor the basic skill set to kickstart a career in this industry.

A first bootcamp gathering 18 fellows started on Monday 9th March 2020, and then another one every 6 months. Baby vc was ready for its takeoff.

1) Mutual aid: baby vc’s community is growing rapidly because it is animated by a strong spirit of mutual help and sharing between the different fellows. We want to create strong links between the different fellows, who will most likely work together tomorrow, and become friends. This is why we select a small number of people. Give generously of your time, knowledge and support!

2) Collaborative: you all come from different backgrounds, you all have your role to play, so participate and make baby vc grow together! We challenge each other and we overcome our respective mountains together. baby vc has created the project, but you are the one who is leading it towards its goal!

3) Encounters: most of you have never met each other so don't be afraid, go for it, get to know each other even outside of the bootcamp and make the batch what you want it to be for you! Invite each other for drinks, brunches: the bonds you will create will be there for life, so make sure to create moments of encounter.

Most sessions will be held on Zoom. Nevertheless we try to have a few sessions per bootcamp be largely in person where possible, with the possiblity to join remotely if there are exceptional circumsances.

baby vc is free for everyone. We believe that in order to comply to our vision of making baby vc more accessible, we need to remove barriers of entry.
